As promised by Apple during WWDC 2018, it has made the first betas of its new operating systems available to users. The first of these has been the beta of iOS 12 that we have already seen how to download and install it on iPhone and iPad devices. Now it's the turn of macOS 10.14 Mojave, watchOS 5 and tvOS 12.
macOS 10.14 Mojave, watchOS 5 and tvOS 12 are available in beta for developers. This means that you need to have an Apple developer account to download and install these new versions on your devices. If not, you'll have to wait until the public beta is released in a few weeks or wait for the fall when the final version is released.
How to download and install the macOS 10.14 Mojave, watchOS 5 and tvOS 12
If you want to install macOS 10.14 Mojave, watchOS 5 and tvOS 12 you must have a developer account, as we have already mentioned. If so, you can download the different profiles and tools that allow the installation of these versions in beta.
- Go to developer.apple.com and sign in with the developer account.
- Download the installation profile of iOS, watchOS, macOS or tvOS.
- Install the installation profile on the corresponding device that you want to update.
- Restart the device.
- The update will appear as available in Settings, the Mac App Store or where applicable on each device.
Again, keep in mind that these are very early versions so they can be riddled with errors and reduce device performance. It is best to wait for the public beta version, which usually brings stability for all users.
