Apple has released an additional update for macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. This interim patch solves the 'heat problem' of the recent 15-inch MacBook Pro 2018.
MacBook Pro 2018 heat problem update
Earlier this month it became known that the brand new 15-inch MacBook Pro 2018 has problems with the heat dissipation caused by the processor. To prevent further problems, the clock speed of the chipset was automatically adjusted downwards. In theory, the laptop became less powerful.
Apple investigated the problem and released an additional update for macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. This patch applies to all models but is of course mainly focused on the most recent MacBooks, where the noise started in the first place.
Apple writes in its statement that the problem was caused by a 'missing digital key' in the system to regulate heat. Furthermore, the company from Cupertino apologizes to all disadvantaged customers.

The origin
The noise started about a week ago when the famous YouTuber Dave Lee put the problem on the map. He showed in a video that specifically the 15-inch model must limit performance after a few seconds of intensive tasks.
According to him, the problem was with the housing of the model, which would not be able to drain the heat. According to Apple, this is therefore not true: it is a software problem. Following Lee shared dozens Apple - lovers their own benchmark tests, and related concerns. Some even threatened to return their new MacBook.
