New MacBook Pro has just come out ... and all brand buffs are going to do the same. We are already playing gods by setting up the most expensive iMac Pro that can be purchased, but ... what happens when we do the same with the "top" configuration of Apple's most expensive professional laptops? Dreaming is free, so let's take a look.
Of course, we will choose the 15-inch model because it is the largest MacBook Pro and therefore the most expensive. And from them, we will choose the best base configuration: a monster of six cores that gives several turns to the general needs of each product.
The 3836 dollars that base model costs make us laugh. Nothing, nothing, let's get to the point and fill this machine to its full potential. Intel Core i9 (Yes, i9!) Eighth generation with six cores at 2.9 GHz, 32 GB of RAM and 4 TB of SSD storage. We have one Mr MacBook Pro for 9257 dollars, being the maximum responsible for this increase in the 4466 dollars that cost to expand the SSD storage to its maximum capacity.
Expensive, right? But it does not convince us. Here we have come to play. So let's take the bet and include the Blackmagic eGPU along with ... two LG UltraFine 5K monitors. They are $809 plus two times 1627 dollars ... and you have a fantastic working environment for 13,319 dollars. 13,550 if you add the icing on the new leather case. The iMac Pro top of the range comes out clearer, but its specifications are more powerful.
I would recommend that you use the financing of that MacBook Pro, but let's face it: most likely we do not need all that power. Better we invest the money in something more of first necessity ... or we wait for September and October for all those renovations of which Ming-Chi Kuo speaks.
