Prague has wonderful architecture, beer is ubiquitous, there is an incredible coffee culture and a variety of gastronomic that is not. But if you are an assiduous reader of Applesteer, there is one more reason why you may be interested in visiting the city, the largest private museum with an Apple theme. It is in the capital of the Czech Republic, without making much noise and something hidden, but once you know its existence, it is a must.

A few days ago I was walking quietly through the streets of Prague, away from the tourist area and disconnecting my mind from everything that had to do with work and technology based on that in Prague costs less than water, beer. And suddenly it appeared, in front of me, I had a shop window with an apple bitten with colours that I first associated with a vinyl store or a repair shop for electronic devices. But no, a huge 'Apple Museum' indicated the place that was in front of my nose. Said by one of my mates.

'Apple Museum' and 'Prague', I associated the two concepts and suddenly I realized, in Prague, there is the largest private collection on Apple in the world. I cursed a few moments to fate for not giving me a break, I left the beer on one side, camera in hand and went into that place full of relics.
A tribute to Steve, a walk through the history of Apple
The Apple Museum in Prague is the largest collection of Apple products that you will find outside Apple's offices. But the essence of the fund is not that, but pay tribute to the greatest creator of these products, Steve Jobs. Through the visit, the presence of Jobs is constant. And I do not say this as something spiritual, but it is the main theme of the museum, with speeches by the co-founder of Apple playing in the background, with walls full of vinyl on it, with clothes or even the very chair that he used for the presentation of the iPad.

The visit, as in most museums, follows a chronological order to show us the history of Apple and its stages through the different products that the museum has acquired. Start with the Apple I and finish with the latest iPhone addressing all the decades of the brand's existence. The first computers of the brand, the creation of the logo, the most relevant Macintosh, the stage without Steve Jobs in the company, the return with NeXT, Pixar, laptops, Mac Pro ... No important or strange Apple computer that you are not going to find

But it's not just about computers, we also have other company products like iPods, iPhones, iPads, all keyboards and mice/trackpads, special editions, Newtons, experiments that never came to be sold ... No nothing is left and so you do not get lost in so much history, from the mobile you can access a guide that tells you in English or other languages the description of each one of the exposed products.
Not everything is gadgets
You'll end up fed up with the two floors of the museum full of gadgets with the bitten apple, no matter how enthusiastic you are. But nothing happens, because there are still more things to enjoy the place. For example, in one room they show a documentary about Steve Jobs and the history of Apple and apart from the guided tour as such, there are more light things.
The museum has its own cafeteria, as it could not be otherwise, serves the meals that Steve Jobs liked: fruit, coffee, smoothies and natural refreshments. This coffee or what you drink, you can do outside the museum or better yet, in the 'McIntosh Garden', a small outdoor garden with places to sit and yes, you guessed it-apple trees. Another option is to go through the interactive room, where you can mess with various iPads. In short, you do not have to be a fan of the brand to enjoy the place during or after the visit.

Apple Museum in Prague, what you have to know if you are going to go
If you are going to visit Prague and want to take a look at the museum, consider a number of things that may be useful to you:
- The Apple Museum is not a tourist attraction of the calibre of others in the city so you will not see it advertised on all four sides. It is also not located on the main street, so it is best if you consult the address on the official website of the museum. Of course, it is near the Charles Bridge, one of the things that you will see in Prague.
- The tickets are the most affordable and varied. They start at three dollars and a maximum of nine dollars for an adult ticket.
- You can not go? There is a virtual tour in 3D that you can do from home for three dollars.
- In the museum, everything is really well indicated, and as I said, you will have a digital guide in English or another language.
In short, the Apple Museum in Prague is a worth it in every rule. You do not have to be a brand enthusiast to enjoy it, but if you are, you will be in a small paradise with hundreds of original products that take you directly through all stages of the company and technology in general. And well, you can drink the water of life, which obviously has apple flavour, always apple.
